arroyoc.com // web archive

Same domain.
Different decades.

arroyoc.com has been around since the dial-up-and-table-layout days. The name, purpose, tech stack, and level of questionable web-design ambition have changed a few times along the way.

Site progression

From consulting site to workshop.

These are a few surviving snapshots from the Internet Archive. Some old interactive bits may not behave exactly as they did when the sites were live, but the Wayback Machine still preserves a pretty good record of the eras.

The early Arroyo Consulting years.

The earliest surviving version in this progression. arroyoc.com was a working consulting-company site long before it became a place for RC projects, software experiments, and 3D-printed chingaderas.

2004
Archived 2004 Arroyo Consulting website with Flash-era design

Peak Flash-era consulting spectacle.

Fixed-width layout, sliced graphics, animated Flash content, popup JavaScript, BBBOnline badge, and a design that was extremely convinced the future had arrived. In 2004, this was righteous.

Another redesign. Because of course.

The consulting-era site kept evolving as the web changed. New look, same domain, same tendency to rebuild the thing instead of leaving well enough alone.

Archived 2014 version of arroyoc.com

The domain starts becoming something else.

By this point arroyoc.com was no longer just a consulting-company brochure. The site was increasingly a home for whatever happened to be interesting enough to build, publish, or screw around with.

The Magic Word years.

At some point the site stopped pretending it needed to be serious. This was the Easter-egg era: the lineage that eventually made hiding a certain magic-word surprise inside the current site feel completely normal.

2026 // Arroyo Cooperative

Old domain. New workshop.

The current site brings the domain back around to documenting real technical work again, just without pretending that every project needs to be a consulting engagement. Software, hardware, RC, 3D printing, cyber security, and whatever seemed like a good idea at the time.
